App: Витрати родини (Family Spending) Effective: 20 August 2026 Contact: [email protected] Мова: українською

In short

The app collects nothing about you. There is no server your data could reach — none for analytics, none for backups, none for anything else. Your entire bank statement stays on your device.

This is not a promise of good behaviour but a property of the design: the app talks to the bank directly from your phone and reaches out nowhere else.

What data the app processes

Your Monobank access key (token). You create it yourself at the bank, or let the app create it for you. It is stored in the Keychain — the iOS system secret store, the same place your phone keeps passwords. It never reaches our servers, because there are none.

By default the key does not leave the device: it is excluded from backups and from iCloud. In the app settings (“Keys on all devices”) you may allow synchronisation via iCloud Keychain — then your keys become available on your other devices signed in with the same Apple ID. The switch covers both your own key and the keys of family members you added to “Family”. In iCloud Keychain the data is end-to-end encrypted: neither Apple nor we can see it. The switch stays off until you turn it on yourself.

Your account statement. Transactions, amounts, merchant names, balances, cashback. The app receives them directly from the official Monobank Personal API and stores them in the app’s files on the device, protected by system encryption. This data is transmitted nowhere — neither to us nor to any third party.

Your settings. Spending limits, category corrections, language choice, app-lock settings. Stored on the device.

Keys of family members added to “Family”. If you add a family member, their key and their statement are stored on your device the same way as your own. The person creates that key themselves and hands it to you voluntarily; they can end the access at any time by disabling that key in their dashboard at api.monobank.ua.

Subscription. Payment goes through the App Store, not through us. We see neither your card number, nor payment details, nor your name as a buyer — Apple does not pass them to us. The app asks the system one thing: whether an active subscription exists. The answer is stored on the device and sent nowhere. You can cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings — that, too, happens entirely on Apple’s side.

What the app does not do

Event log

The app keeps a short technical log (the latest 200 entries): when a refresh happened, how many transactions were loaded, which network errors occurred. It contains no key, no amounts, no merchant names, no personal names.

The log is stored on the device and never sends itself anywhere. You may send it to us manually — with the “Report a problem” button in Settings. That is the only case in which any app data leaves your device, and it happens only by your direct action.

Notifications

The app may show local notifications — a spending limit exceeded, worrying events in “Family”, cashback advice. They are generated on the device and pass through no servers.

Storage and deletion

Data stays on the device until you delete it yourself. There are two ways:

Both ways delete everything: the key, the statement, the settings. Nothing can be restored afterwards — we keep no backups, because there is no server.

After the app is deleted, the access key remains valid at the bank until you create a new one. The bank keeps one key per person, and each new key revokes the previous one.

Children

The Monobank Personal API is unavailable to customers under 16, so the app is not intended for younger children. Children’s account data is accessible only from a parent’s bank account.

Third-party services

The app connects only to the official Monobank API (api.monobank.ua) — for your statement and exchange rates — and to the App Store when a subscription needs to be checked or purchased. There are no other networks, analytics libraries or ad networks in it.

Independence from the bank

Family Spending is not an app, service or product of Monobank and is not affiliated with the bank. It is a third-party app that reads your statement through the official Personal API with a key you create yourself.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new revision will appear at this address and the date above will be updated. Changes that affect data processing will additionally be explained in the app itself.
